The Cheesecake Factory Gluten-Free Menu 2024

Here is the complete Cheesecake Factory Gluten-Free menu.

The Cheesecake Factory has a very large menu and also provide a lot of gluten-free options. They have been working to roll out gluten-free options on their menu for years, but it is still pretty much impossible to find any official allergen information on their website. That being said, The Cheesecake Factory actually has a lot of gluten-free food and gluten-free alternatives. They should have gluten-free buns upon request and also gluten-free pasta along with all of their other dishes that naturally don’t contain gluten.

Our suggestion is to make sure to check the menu at your local restaurant and inform your server if you are wanting to eat gluten-free, as results may vary by location. Also be aware that with some items, some cross-contamination may occur due to the shared preparation environment in their kitchens.

The Cheesecake Factory History

The first Cheesecake Factory restaurant was opened in Beverly Hills, California in 1978 by David Overton. However, their story started much earlier than that. During the 1940’s, his mother Evelyn Overton came across a special recipe in the dailies that inspired her “Original” Cheesecake. The dessert was received well by the local community and they started placing orders in large numbers, but eventually after having two kids, David and Renee, she stopped selling the desserts and moved over to California to raise them.

When her son David grew up, he decided to launch the first Cheesecake Factory restaurant in a bid to showcase his mom’s selection of cheesecakes. Through hard work and determination, the company has since grown to include more than 200 locations found across the world. By 1995, the firm had moved their headquarters from Woodland Hills to their new corporate offices in Calabasas Hills. They were also hiring additional staff and starting production at their new bakery facility.

By the end of that year, the company was making over $100 million in sales for the first time and restaurant and bakery sales also increased by 37 percent. Individual restaurants also continued averaging $8.6 million annually, a figure significantly higher than the $1.3 million made by their competitors during that time.

Currently, the company manages a average priced, casual dining food chain that’s famous for its elegant interior design and diverse menu. Sometimes customers can wait up to two hours before getting a table. There are more than 200 items to choose from which are all listed on their 18 page menu, including well over 40 different types of cheesecakes.

In a new distribution strategy, the company entered a contract with Host Marriot to develop a dessert booth at the Los Angeles International Airport. If this venture becomes successful, they plan to launch even more locations of the same type in other parts of the country. With no existing debt and the restaurant also generating sales at a phenomenal pace, the Cheesecake Factory is a true model of success in the restaurant industry.

Summary

The Cheesecake Factory has a lot of gluten-free food and a good amount of gluten-free alternatives as well. They provide gluten-free buns and pasta which is great, and they also have a ton of other food that naturally doesn’t contain gluten. The only negative here is that they aren’t very vocal about their gluten-free stance or gluten-free menu on their website, so experiences may vary at different locations. But if your looking for a new place to try for some gluten-free food, this could be it!

  1. According to Godiva’s website, people with Celiac shouldn’t eat their products as all may have gluten in them (presumably cross contamination).

    • Hi Connie, as far as I know they don’t have any gluten-free cheesecake, ironically. However, for food items, they do have some good alternatives, even gluten-free buns.

      • Hi I just had the coffee gluten free cheesecake with no problems. Delicious and my celiac daughter shared it with me. Also they have plain. I can’t wait to go it’s been so long my hub bought it for me today as a treat. Now we are planning to go for my DH bday. Thanks again!

    • So as far as my local CCF goes. They have three types of GF cheesecake. Godiva (not for strict Celiac as there may be cross contamination in one of the steps of the production line), there is a low calorie cheesecake with gf gram cracker and strawberry topped cheesecake with GF gram cracker. I dont know if CCF made those exclusively to the Syracuse, NY CCF or not. I’ve found my location has a second frier SOMETIMES the cooks will accidently use it for breaded items but they report cleaning it out. This happened one time I ordered and it took 40 mins to get my order because they had to clean out the frier entirely. I was more than happy to wait. They now offer an extra gluten free bun in place of the regular bread so you can “bread” with butter. Honestly they need to look into baguettes by Go Against the Grain because they are so bread like I would not believe they are GF if I didn’t see the label. lol I still would not trust the GF pasta as again, it’s easy to pick up a strainer that’s not for wheat pasta. The vegan burger was reported to have wheat in the soysauce used in it so if you see a vegan burger option ask if it’s gluten free. The bacon bacon is GF if a GF bun is used. Something in the sauce may make it not GF naturally but if you request GF they just do it. My menu does label things with GF upon request. Vegan burger is not labeled GF upon request. So wheat soy sauce is probably why.

      Hope that’s helpful.

    • Yes the Godiva cheesecake is gluten free. I order it every time I go. Sometimes I’ll buy the whole cake, frozen, and keep, it in my freezer for when the mood strikes 😋

    • Hey Holly, I’m not sure if the Mac and Cheese is gluten-free or not… you would have to ask at your local Cheesecake Factory. If you find out, please let us know! Thanks

  3. Just a heads up, the edamame is not always gluten free. I just found out last night that the Cheesecake factory located at the Maryland Live casino in Hanover MD reused pasta water to cook theirs, as we found slimed bits of pasta in our order. When we sent it back our server asked if we would like another order but cooked in fresh water this time….

  4. The French fries are done in the same fryer as the onion rings / chicken fingers. So they are not good for celiacs. Just speak to the manager to confirm your order. They are very helpful.

  5. I think it would be really great to have at least a few more selections of gluten free cheesecake. After all, its the best cheesecake in the world!!!! Come on guys, please.

  6. Many people with celiacs that I know also cannot have dairy, like me. I also cannot have nuts. I wish more places would use Daiya products so there would be dairy free options for cheese and even cheesecake! There are milk substitutes such as Rice and Soy.
    Thank you!

  7. It seems that celiac disease and lactose intolerance are kissing cousins.
I am celiac and lactose intolerant. It would be nice to have flourless cake.
There are so many fantastic gluten free recipes on the internet that you
could make the whole menue gluten free and people would think it is great.
Many more ingredients beyond rice and corn.
    Thanks. Joan

  9. Honestly you have to go into your local CF and hound them–I usually start off the convo by report building “Oh my family and I have been eating at CF’s for years with no gluten reactions. I mean all of our food hasn’t even registered on our Nima to have cross contamination so well done at this location! Just had to say that. You guys do great work. That said, I know this might take a few minutes, I’m happy to wait…but….” Or whatever other custom order. I swear 99 percent of the time I get “What’s a Nima” and when I explain what it is they go ashen white and make several notes on my order lol. I also specify to ensure the cooks know to inform me if there isn’t a clean fryer available. I never dine in I always get take out so I just tive them my number and go shop while I wait for my order. Then I double check everything before I go ;). If more people with legit allergies made it a big deal we wouldn’t have CF’s with different levels of service. So eventually they will either remove all GF items and refuse to serve the GF community all together…which would be stupid…or take allergies seriously.

  11. At Cheesecake Factory the only cheesecake that we know of to be GF is the Godiva cheesecake there is no crust! We checked I believe the Godiva and Cheesecake Factory websites – my husband found out and that’s the only one he eats and loves besides the fact that he loves chocolate!
