Dave and Buster’s Gluten-Free Menu 2024

Here is the complete Dave and Buster’s Gluten-Free menu.

Dave and Buster’s does not have a lot to offer when it comes to gluten-free food, but there are a few choices. They are up front about having a shared kitchen so cross contamination is possible with any of their food.

They suggest letting the manager know if you have a food allergy or any special dietary needs. They also say that you can ask to be seated away from the kitchen as an extra precaution.

We appreciate them being open about their menu and making an effort to be helpful, but it would be nice if they had a little more on their menu that was safe to eat.

Dave and Buster’s History

Dave and Buster’s, also known as D&B, is a restaurant chain based in Dallas, Texas. Statistics show that as of July 2016, they had approximately 83 locations spread across America, and one in Canada as well.

The restaurant’s story began back in the 1970s when one of its co-founders, Buster, opened a restaurant that came to be known for serving tasty dishes and offering friendly service. A few years later, his friend Dave opened an entertainment spot where adults could come to play games and have fun. The two budding entrepreneurs realized people were moving back and forth between their establishments so they came up with an idea of merging them into one so as to serve all of their customers under one roof.

They did a coin toss and Dave’s name came first after the throw, henceforth his name was to appear first in the company brand of Dave & Buster’s. The first D&B restaurant was opened in December 1982 and since then they have grown to include more than 80 locations across the country.

Today, a lot has changed about the restaurant and there are new games being introduced to their locations regularly. There are also fresh menu items and innovative drink options for the taking, including strawberry-flavored ice cube drinks. Additionally, with the addition of D&B Sports, guests can watch their favorite sport and play the games that are available.

The food items listed on Dave and Buster’s menu are offered from early lunch time through late night hours featuring a wide variety of options such as pasta, steak, burgers, chicken, desserts and seafood. Moreover, the menu is usually updated regularly to reflect leading market trends and guest favorites. There are a few locations which also serve Sunday brunch. Furthermore, buffet offerings are available for both private parties and special events.

Summary

We do appreciate Dave and Buster’s openness on their website about the possibility of cross contamination and their effort to help out with seating away from the kitchen and answering questions, but their menu doesn’t really hold up. They don’t have that many gluten-free options, and the options they do have might not be safe for those with a gluten allergy or intolerance.

  1. I have friends that like dave and buster’s but the gluten free menu listed above is beyond disappointing. The problem with restaurants is they offer salads as a gf option too much. I’m not vegetarian and don’t want to pay for a salad when I go out. Gf dedicated fryers are something that can be done to expand options, gf buns/bread are another just for suggestions. If Red Robin and other restaurants can offer more options, why can’t you guys do the same? I guess as it stands I want be able to come in and see what my friends like so much about your establishment.

  2. I have celiacs and always afraid of going to restaurants. The service here was AMAZING!! The Manager came out and verified the food choices we picked and made sure we where understanding of the possibility of cross contamination which is a possibility EVERYWHERE you go. They brought my food out with protection covers and a separate server to carry only my meal. They really went above and beyond! Thank you for your understanding of my illness.

  3. Wow thats kind of a crappy GF menu. Most people dont want to go out to eat just for salads, especially kids. Im sure there are many items off the regular menu that could easily be made gluten free. But thanks for trying. Something is better than nothing.
