Blake’s – A Great Gluten-Free Chicken Pot Pie

Sometimes you just don’t have the energy to cook, or perhaps some of you are like myself and don’t enjoy cooking. I stumbled across this gluten-free chicken pot pie the other day and was surprised with just how well it tasted! So today I will be sharing with you Blake’s gluten-free chicken pot pie.

Blake’s Gluten-Free Chicken Pot Pie

Blake’s is a family grown brand that prides themselves in using the best natural and organic ingredients. They still make all their meals by hand. This is a brand I hadn’t personally come across before. I stumbled upon it while shopping at Wal-Mart. Now I normally shop at farmer’s markets like Sprouts, but my local Wal-Mart actually carries a large variety of the Amy’s gluten-free meals. So I usually head there once a month and buy a bunch of them. While dumping them into my cart I noticed Blake’s gluten-free chicken pot pie.

As with all new gluten-free food, I bought only one. Because you never know how good or bad it is going to taste. Once I got home I heated it up in the microwave for 5 minutes. It also has preparation directions for doing it in the oven, which might even improve the taste. Once I dove into the chicken pot pie I was pleasantly surprised with the taste! The dough itself is a little chewy, but it tastes amazing. And the chicken sauce is to die for. The pieces of chicken themselves are very large.

Since then I have probably bought 30+ of these and I always find myself licking the bowl when I am done. It tastes that good. The crust itself I bet would be even a little better I did the oven prep, but I am pretty impatient.

If found them at my local Wal-Mart, but I know that Target also carries them. The price usually ranges between $3.97-$4.97. I love eating these and my stomach seems to love them also! They go down with ease. Was this review on Blake’s gluten-free chicken pot pie helpful? If so I would love to hear your feedback below.

  1. Sorry but soy bean oil, organic or not, is not a good thing to have in ANY food, recipe, etc. Again, sorry but I personally will not buy any of these products as long as there is soy being used. Really no need for it in ANY foods.

    • I also try to stay away from soy myself and agree that it shouldn’t be used. The healthiest way to make pot pie of course is at home. But this is the best thing I have found so far for those that hate cooking. I really do hope more companies start stripping soy out of their products.
